FILIPINO VETERAN’S DAY MARCH
(United States, 2002) Directed by John Cruz
An unnarrated view of a crew of Filipino veterans participating in
a
Veteran’s Day march may not be in itself significant. Director
John Cruz’ film drips
with irony, however, when the fact that these veterans are among the
few
still-living World War II survivors fighting for long-overdue promises
of U.S.
citizenship is considered.
Video, 4 minutes, documentary
GRASSROOTS RISING
(United States, 2002) Directed by Robert Winn
A tailer for an upcoming documentary on Asian Pacific American labor
movement
in Los Angeles. Produced by Visual Communications, this excerpt is

Director) Allison de la Cruz.

An
apathetic litterbug and an overzealous activist cross paths with hilarious
results. Through humor and subtle messages, the film deals with the
notion of karma
and how actions, however small, come around in the end.
Video, 3 minutes, narrative

the city, leaves his
own distinct "tag" everywhere he goes. In the end, others
see the connection..
Video, 4 minutes, narrative
CHOCOLATE
