WORKSHOP 4: Introduction to Final Cut Pro

In this intensive, hands-on workshop, 25-year veteran picture editor Walt Louie will take you through the principles of non-linear editing using Apple's Final Cut Pro software. We’re starting with the basics: Workflow, digitizing footage, clip organization, basic editing controls, cutting, titling and adding graphics.

No prior experience is necessary. For those feeling a bit rusty with Final Cut Pro, this session is a great way to re-learn the functionality of the software.

Cost:
$50 members of VC or Project by Project
$70 non-members

Discover your film’s unique voice through the exploration of editorial decision-making in this concept-based instruction necessary for creating exciting visual stories. Veteran picture editor Walt Louie leads an intensive hands-on editing session invaluable for fellowship filmmakers. In this personal one-on-one consultation, understand the importance of story structure, stylistic approaches and how these principals apply to your specific project. Bring your digitized footage and a rough cut to maximize your lesson.
